John Charter’s obsession with art began with surreal and impressionist paintings and has blossomed into motion pictures. He has directed visually driven work for a range of clients including Guess Handbags, Red Bull and Magic Wands.

Originally from Colusa in Northern California, John grew up working on his family’s rice and almond farm. The sweeping landscapes and eccentric rural characters continue to inspire his storytelling. He is based in Hollywood, CA.
