New Painting

This impressionist style portrait is my first painting in several years. It is always refreshing to make physical art since digital filmmaking requires so much time behind a computer. I used a blend of acrylic paints and gloss gel medium on canvas. The gloss gel slows the drying time and adds luster.  Thanks to my high school art teacher Bob Kirkman for teaching this method, which is sometimes called “poor man’s oil painting.”
